Gébárt Craftsmen’s House
Attractions, points of interest

Lake Gébárt, green idyll, busy hands, folk art. The Craftsmen’s House was built as a spot for creation, constructed by the creators’ own hands. However, this extraordinary building and its workshops are not only home to the craftsmen and their works of art, but also to countless events, for example the Open Workshop Gallery series or the international art colony. The house’s permanent exhibitions are the felt tent displaying the yurt of the Hungarian leader from the era of conquest, the exhibition on the objects of the shepherd society whose collection was assembled by László Szelestey, and the exhibition of Imre Makovecz, one of the most prominent proponents of organic architecture and a native of the county.
