null Post Office (Postpalace)

Since 1924, Zalaegerszeg has had a special, three-tiered "palace": hundreds of thousands a day, several thousands turning around, but no one actually lives.

The townspeople were proud of the late Art Nouveau post building, built on the basis of the plans of Adolf Günthaler Adolf Gusztáv, which, after several renovations, awaited visitors again in its original splendor. It is noteworthy that the façade of the house is decorated with Zsolnay ceramics (similar to the Post Palace in Pécs). We found interesting data in researching its history: in the early 1930s, the number of telephone subscribers was close to 300, corresponding to two percent of the population at that time.
